Detección tridimensional y reconocimiento de rostros.

Resumen: Detección de rostros y el reconocimiento son técnicas viejas, pero estas áreas de investigación siguen desarrollándose rápidamente, debido a la creciente demanda de seguridad biométricas con en aplicaciones industriales y de aplicación de la ley. El reconocimiento facial basado en dos dimensiones, es decir, imágenes de intensidad (2D) ha llegado a un grado de madurez importante, con cierto éxito práctico. Sin embargo, el desempeño de estas técnicas de reconocimiento, 2D, de rostros se puede degradar en condiciones de pobres de iluminación o por cambios de reflectancia, es decir, por sujetos con diversos colores de piel. Reconocimiento de rostro en 3D representa una alternativa viable al reconocimiento e identificación de rostros. En este proyecto se plantea la proyección de patrones binarios sobre el rostro de la persona a identificar. Estos patrones binarios se verán modulados por la topografía facial. Por tanto, en esta tesis se pretende desarrollar algoritmos para extraer información o atributos de regiones específicas que nos permitan identificar o reconocer a personas dentro de un banco de datos. Además, de los patrones adquiridos no solamente puede obtener la información para identificar a una persona, también se puede obtener información necesaria para reconstruir el rostro en 3D.

Detección tridimensional y reconocimiento de rostros

Resumen: Caracterizar un modulador espacial de luz, el cual será utilizado como compensador de aberraciones oculares, tanto de alto como de bajo orden, en un sistema de captura de imágenes de la retina humana en tiempo real. El modulador tiene que trabajar en lazo cerrado con un sensor de frente de onda tipo Shack-Hartmann. Este tipo de sistemas además de ser utilizados para la adquisición de imágenes de la retina a nivel celular también se pueden utilizar para hacer pruebas psico-físicas. La propuesta incluye caracterizar una pantalla de cristal líquido, el desarrollo de algoritmos para corregir las aberraciones oculares en el sistema de captura de imágenes de la retina y la implementación de métodos ópticos para estimar el frente de onda.
