Objetivos
Formar capital humano especializado a nivel maestría en áreas de la matemática para contribuir a un mejor desarrollo educativo, científico y tecnológico, y
Fortalecer la investigación básica y aplicada en el campo de la matemática.
Formar al estudiante en áreas claves de la matemática, con énfasis en el campo donde centre su trabajo de tesis;
Desarrollar en el estudiante habilidades y una cultura científica para que sea capaz de participar en proyectos de investigación relacionados con la matemática y en la solución de problemas complejos con apoyo de modelos y algoritmos matemáticos;
Proporcionar una formación matemática y científica a los estudiantes para favorecer su inserción en el mercado laboral del sistema educativo, científico y tecnológico de Jalisco y la región; incluyendo la posibilidad de continuar con estudios de doctorado en disciplinas relacionadas con la matemática, y
Incrementar la producción científica de los académicos de la Universidad de Guadalajara que atienden la Maestría con la participación de los estudiantes de la misma.
