Graduate Profile

The computer engineering graduate will be a citizen of the digital and automated city, capable of building, implementing and designing applications, services, and methodologies under ethical principles based on the correct use of frontier technologies such as high performance computing, financial technology, bioinformatics, data science, human-computer interface, cybersecurity, and quantum computing.

He will focus on finding software solutions, through planning, analysis, and execution in diverse platforms; such as parallel and distributed, considering complex techniques of intelligent systems in real time, abstraction and representation of data, maintaining effective designs of interaction and human interface. He/she will put these skills at the service of society seeking a sustainable and people-centered environment that transforms the various sectors of society that depend on information technologies.

The Computer Science Engineer is able to show evidence of the generic and professional competencies acquired during his/her academic career, which are listed below:

  1. Ability to develop and evaluate advanced techniques of analysis, data mining and machine learning and predictive models on massive data;
  2. Ability for the elaboration, strategic planning, direction, coordination and technical and economic management of projects in all areas of computer engineering following quality and environmental criteria;
  3. Ability to understand and apply the principles and techniques of quality management and technological innovation in the organizations, and
  4. Ability to integrate technologies and systems of Artificial Intelligence, with a generalist character, and in a wider and multidisciplinary context.
